The weight of caregiving
Caregiving exists in all forms. For my final feature, I wanted to explore some of the differences between the most common types of caregiving. Ultimately, I found that it doesn't matter if it is home caregiving, caregiving through a particular company at senior homes, or caregiving roles of family; there is a wide web of help that goes under the radar when it comes to providing the amount of support one needs.

Obstacles in plain sight: navigating accessibility issues at Carlmont
I wanted to cover a topic closer to my heart for my second feature. When I was a Freshman, I had just recently received surgery for a broken foot and started my high school career on a knee scooter for the first semester. Since then I have learned a lot about the physical limitations at our school that are not necessarily talked about. I hope to get more people aware of those with disabilities in schools and try to find ways for them to gain support.

‘Offsetting the green’: companies avoid path to sustainability
This was my first ever feature article that I created with my classmate Reina. I am happy to have been able to take on this because it was my first major project and was filled with a bunch of setbacks and long nights, but we pushed through and got a good article out of it. With hundreds of phone calls and emails written, this feature taught me to be more patient with others when trying to ask them for information or to get in contact with them.
